  • University of Central Oklahoma Waiver Requirement.

If you decide to use insurance other than what UCO provides, you must submit an insurance waiver request.  In that request, you must provide proof of insurance coverage which meets the requirements below:

  1.     MINIMUM medical coverage of $100,000 (USD)
  2.     MINIMUM medical evacuation coverage of $50,000 (USD)
  3.     MINIMUM repatriation of remains coverage of at least $25,000 (USD)
  4.     The insurance documentation is in English.

Insurance waiver requests are reviewed every semester.  For the insurance waiver request to be considered, all documentation meeting the above requirements must be submitted before the semester start date (the first day of class).

If you do not submit all documentation before the waiver deadline, you will automatically be enrolled in the UCO health insurance plan.
